Abstract
In 2024, the third edition of the WATA – World Architecture Awards, sponsored by Technal, Sapa, and Domal, was held. The competition not only recognizes outstanding architectural projects but also highlights how aluminum window and door systems are integrated into spaces that foster new ways of living, working, and interacting with the environment. The book published to commemorate the awards has become, with each edition, a window into talent, innovation, and emerging architectural trends.
The challenge
Maintaining the visual consistency of previous editions, preserving the established graphic identity, but incorporating slight variations that give this third edition its own personality.
A window open to the world
The cover retains the distinctive black frame, a direct metaphor for the product—aluminum profiles—and a symbol of openness to the world. This frame interacts with an evocative sky that represents creativity, global reach, and the infinite possibilities of conscious design. In this edition, the message of sustainability has been reinforced. The book’s layout follows a clean, grid-like structure that gives prominence to the images and clearly organizes the content. Each page is designed to highlight the winning projects and their contexts, solidifying WATA as a valuable resource for research and reflection on contemporary trends and lifestyles.
Using the Pantone Color of the Year, as in the previous edition, has been key to visually aligning the project with the pulse of current creative trends.

The client’s carefully curated photographic selection and the meticulous coordination of texts and materials make this project a collective reflection of collaborative work among people from diverse cultures, disciplines, and perspectives.
